Collider was recently awarded the campaign creative for the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards 2010 (SOYA) covering everything from campaign identity, online commercial, digital advertising, print collateral and event installation design.
Qantas wanted to take the campaign to the next level which provided us with the brief; Step Up and Enter Now! We took an alternate approach to previous years, and as the main concept, designed and built the ’SOYA Colour Machine’.
The machine provided the conceptual basis for the campaign as all the imagery for the supporting visual material was taken from a single shoot day showing the build, setup and firing of the machine. Its aim was to be a fun, interesting and inclusive way to create something with its own integrity that people would find engaging enough to talk about, pass on and inspire young australians to enter.
